Spinach face

It's no secret that Penny's favorite food is spinach (I know, I know, no one believes that she's Jason's daughter...). So of course when offered a plate of spinach dip at our Aunt Maria's house last weekend, we HAD to accept. And of course, we HAD to let Penny feed herself - which is another of her favorite things. Of course, feeding herself makes for a very "interesting" mealtime, but that's a whole other story.

So here's our little angel enjoying her first spinach dip. We were smart enough to take off her dress while eating, which at least made clean-up a little easier!

And speaking of spinach - here is an example of what our mealtimes look like, since Miss Penny decided that feeding herself is the "easiest" way to eat lunch...

Let's hope Penny's love of spinach sticks around all the way through childhood! (let's also hope that some day soon she decides that eating from a spoon is somehow fun again...)
